About

Verdugo Hills Archers operates as a four-star NFAA-rated facility situated in the scenic hills between Sunland and Tujunga, nestled within the Angeles National Forest along Big Tujunga Canyon Road. This non-profit member-owned club welcomes both traditional and compound bow enthusiasts, though crossbows are not permitted. The range features multiple shooting areas including a practice target section with ten targets and an expansive 3D course with twenty-eight targets representing various field, hunter, and 3D animal scenarios. The facility includes picnic areas, restroom facilities, and ample parking for members. Since the range is located in a natural canyon setting, deer frequently inhabit the area, and hunting is strictly prohibited to protect wildlife.

Access to the range is restricted to members who receive a gate key upon joining, allowing them to use the facility seven days a week. Members are required to display their membership ID at all times while on the grounds. The club does not rent or loan equipment to visitors, though equipment is provided for instructional purposes. Formal archery lessons and classes are currently unavailable, though the club notes on its lessons page that instruction status may change in the future and would typically be offered by arrangement on Saturday mornings. The facility operates entirely through volunteer efforts, with no paid staff, and members who volunteer to maintain the range may receive discounts on future membership dues.
