Barr Lake SP Archery Range

Barr Lake State Park Archery Range offers an outdoor shooting experience just twenty minutes northeast of Denver. The facility features twelve shooting lanes equipped with heavy-duty targets, making it accessible to both beginners developing their foundational skills and experienced archers looking to refine their technique. Target distances range from ten to one hundred yards, providing variety for shooters at different proficiency levels.

The range includes both a static archery section and a newer three-dimensional target course that creates realistic hunting scenarios with creative target designs, including bull elk and other wildlife figures. The picturesque setting features scenic sunsets over the park. Field tips and target tips are permitted on most lanes, while designated broadhead lanes allow hunters preparing for big-game seasons to practice with broadhead ammunition. Shooters also have the option to bring their own targets to designated broadhead and open lanes.

Access to the archery range requires a state parks pass, with admission being free for daily or annual pass holders. The facility is operated by Colorado Parks and Wildlife as part of a broader initiative to expand public shooting range access throughout the state.
