Sarasota Archers

Sarasota Archers operates as a private membership-based club dedicated to promoting field archery, target archery, and bow hunting in the Sarasota area. The facility maintains both indoor and outdoor shooting ranges with lighting for evening use, along with a dedicated 3D range for members and competitive events. While membership is required to access the grounds and ranges during regular operations, the club welcomes new members and makes exceptions for instructional programs.

The organization offers structured archery lessons open to the public with a signed waiver and a modest five-dollar donation. Youth instruction takes place on Wednesday evenings from six to seven-thirty, while adult classes are held Thursday evenings from six to eight. For those new to the sport, a limited supply of bows and arrows is available for beginners during lessons. Beyond instruction, the club hosts regular competitive shoots, typically held on the last Saturday of each month, and invitational tournaments that welcome archers from outside the membership.

Sarasota Archers maintains active community involvement through monthly membership meetings held on the second Tuesday of each month and regular work parties that help maintain the facility. Members have the option to reduce their membership fees by participating in these volunteer work days throughout the year. The club is affiliated with both the Florida Archery Association and the National Field Archery Association, ensuring adherence to established archery standards and safety protocols.
