Deep River Bowmen

Located at 590 N State Road 149 in Valparaiso, Deep River Bowmen is a nonprofit archery facility that has served the community since 1962. The range features both an indoor facility with 19 shooting lanes and an expansive outdoor area spanning approximately seven acres across a scenic, forested property. The outdoor spaces include a marked practice area ranging from 10 to 80 yards, a section designed for 3D targets and broadhead shooting, and a 20-plus target course winding through the hilly terrain with elevated platforms and ground blinds for additional challenge.

The club welcomes archers of all ages and skill levels, regardless of bow type. It offers introductory classes held on the first Saturday of each month, taught by USA Archery certified instructors who provide all necessary safety gear and equipment for beginners ages six and up. The two-hour classes cost thirty dollars and limit enrollment to fourteen students. Beyond instruction, the facility hosts multiple competitive opportunities including indoor leagues that run during winter months, outdoor 3D shoots throughout the warmer seasons, and various public competitions open to both members and non-members.
