About

Established in 1919, the Ipswich Fish & Game Association operates a comprehensive archery facility on its nearly 30-acre property in historic Ipswich, Massachusetts. The club maintains both outdoor and indoor ranges to accommodate year-round shooting. The outdoor range spans 100 by 50 yards and can accommodate up to eight shooters simultaneously, with weatherproof targets positioned at 10, 20, 30, and 40-yard distances. Three-dimensional targets supplement the standard setup during spring, summer, and fall months. When winter weather arrives, members transition to the indoor range, which accommodates three to four shooters at approximately 17 yards.

The facility places significant emphasis on competitive play and skill development through its archery programs. Throughout the year, the club organizes seasonal leagues spanning six to eight weeks, allowing members to explore different bow types while connecting with fellow archers. The association also hosts occasional tournaments and special events for members and their guests.

Youth archery holds particular importance at the club. As a member organization of USA Archery and their Junior Olympic Archery Development program, the association offers clinics for young archers throughout the year and facilitates participation in national competitions. The club benefits from having a nationally ranked adult archer on its roster who provides instruction to members' children.

Access to the facility is restricted to members and their guests. Prospective members can inquire about joining by contacting the association directly or attending monthly membership meetings.
