About

Western Wayne County Conservation Association in Plymouth, Michigan operates a comprehensive archery program across its 87-acre property for both members and non-members of all experience levels. The facility features multiple ranges designed for different types of archery shooting. The 3D course is set up on a wooded portion of the grounds and runs along Johnson Creek, comprising 15 lanes with 2 targets each, plus a practice lane. The 3D targets include Rinehart and McKenzie wild game models ranging from full-sized grizzly and elk to smaller turkey and javelina, with additional novelty targets and two optional bonus targets featuring a steel "bionic buck" and moving target. Three of the lanes have elevated platforms, and shooters can complete the course in approximately two hours.

The organization offers year-round leagues and events tailored to different skill levels and interests. The Indoor Winter League runs during cold months in the clubhouse with accommodations for 42 shooters, while the Summer Outdoor League and Winter Outdoor League provide outdoor competitive opportunities from various distances and shooting positions. A Bow Hunter Tune Up program specifically prepares hunters for the hunting season with shooting distances up to 40 yards from the ground and from elevated 13- and 17-foot platforms, plus a broadhead pit for tuning hunting arrows. The facility welcomes all archery equipment types, including traditional bows, compound bows, and crossbows.

The club also operates a Junior Archery Development (JAD) program for youth. Fees vary between members and non-members, with 3D shoot rates starting at $4 for junior members and $8 for adult members, while non-member rates are $7 and $15 respectively. League participation costs $40 for members and $50 for non-members, with junior rates available at half price. WWCCA is a private, member-based club with annual dues of $200 plus a $100 initiation fee for new members.
