Bunker Hills Archery Range

Rapids Archery Club operates one of the region's largest indoor archery facilities alongside multiple outdoor shooting lanes in Andover, Minnesota, allowing archers to practice year-round regardless of weather. The outdoor range features shooting distances from 10 to 80 yards with well-maintained foam targets and straw barrel backstops, along with scenic walking courses that wind through the grounds where visitors might spot local wildlife. The facility accommodates archers of all experience levels through structured classes for ages eight and up, as well as a dedicated youth program called JOAD that serves ages 7 to 20 with instruction in fundamental and advanced techniques. Beyond instruction, the club organizes seasonal leagues and open shooting events throughout the year, creating opportunities for friendly competition and skill development within a supportive community. Visitors note that the facility is exceptionally well-maintained with premium amenities, paper targets typically provided on the blocks, and layered foam targets that make arrow removal easier than traditional hay targets.
