About

Minnehaha Archers is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting archery in the greater Sioux Falls area. Founded in 1951, the club operates entirely through volunteers and welcomes archers of all skill levels and interests, whether they shoot for recreation, competition, or bowhunting.

The facility features both an indoor range located at 5108 N. Harvestore Road and an outdoor range situated next to the Great Bear Recreational Area. The indoor facility is accessible 24 hours a day, seven days a week except during scheduled leagues and events, with paper targets available for purchase. The club hosts several competitive opportunities throughout the year, including tournament events, spot leagues, and bowhunter leagues with scores tracked across multiple seasons. For young archers, the club offers JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) programming with coaching and educational resources.

Membership is required for regular range use, though the club welcomes non-members during designated public shooting nights held from November through April, charging a small fee per visit. The club maintains organized leagues and adaptive sports programs designed to serve the full range of the archery community. With its established reputation and commitment to safety and education, Minnehaha Archers serves as one of the oldest and most respected archery organizations in the region.
