Westlake Archery Range

Westlake Archery Range operates an eight-lane facility at Westlake Sports Center in Mesquite, Texas, accommodating archers of various skill levels. The range features shooting distances spanning from ten to one hundred yards, providing versatility for both beginners and more experienced shooters. The facility maintains regular hours Monday through Thursday from noon until dusk or 9 p.m., Friday through Sunday from either 9 a.m. or noon until dusk or 6 p.m., depending on the day.

The range caters to youth and adults through structured programming. Introduction to archery days for ages eight through sixteen provide free equipment and instruction during designated sessions. Beginners classes tailored to children ages eight through sixteen and adult beginners ages seventeen and older meet weekly on Sundays, teaching proper technique and fundamental skills. Private lessons are also available through a USA Archery Level 3 NTS certified instructor, with all equipment provided.

Visitors can access the range at affordable rates, with resident and non-resident pricing for both youth and adults. Bow and arrow rentals are available for those without personal equipment, making the facility accessible to newcomers. A pro shop is on site where patrons check in before shooting. The facility maintains specific safety regulations, including restrictions on broadhead arrows, dry firing, and crossbows, and enforces rules requiring adult supervision for those under sixteen years old.
