About

Nestled in the scenic hills south of Abilene, this established archery facility spans over 200 acres of West Texas landscape dotted with oak and cedar trees. Operating for more than four decades, the organization has built a reputation as one of the finest archery venues in the state, attracting shooters of all skill levels and ages who compete with both traditional and compound equipment.

The facility is divided into four distinct shooting areas, each offering different terrain and challenges. Members and visitors have access to a static line with bag targets set at known distances for sighting in equipment, as well as a year-round 3D practice range featuring life-sized animal targets positioned along wooded trails to simulate realistic hunting scenarios. The club hosts monthly shoots from January through June, with an additional event in September, where the animal targets are rotated to keep the experience fresh and engaging. Competition costs ten dollars for members and fifteen dollars for non-members, with children under twelve participating for five dollars.

The grounds include amenities such as picnic tables, restroom facilities, and water service during organized events. A concession stand operates during shoots, offering refreshments to participants. Membership is available year-round for those seeking regular access to the ranges, and guests are welcome to visit with members. Visitors consistently praise the welcoming community atmosphere, noting the knowledgeable and friendly membership base that makes the facility feel like a home away from home for archery enthusiasts.
