About

Fort Grard Guns and Archery is one of the largest archery complexes in Texas, offering a comprehensive facility for archers of all skill levels. This family-owned and operated business, established in 2014 with its building opening in October 2015, is located at 3800 Mineral Wells Highway in Weatherford, Texas.

The facility features an impressive 12,000 square foot indoor archery range alongside 27 acres of outdoor 3D ranges and archery shooting stations. The indoor facility accommodates various shooting styles and distances, while the expansive outdoor area provides extensive opportunities for hunters and competitive archers to practice on 3D targets. The facility also includes a BowSim 4D virtual range system, offering an innovative way to practice archery through modern simulation technology.

Fort Grard caters to beginners through advanced archers and offers flexible access options. Day rates are available starting at $10 for indoor-only shooting to $20 for combined indoor and outdoor access. Children aged 12 and under shoot free with a paid adult. The facility provides traditional bow rentals for both indoor and outdoor use. Annual memberships are available at various levels, including indoor-only memberships and all-access memberships that provide full access to the entire archery complex.

Beyond range shooting, Fort Grard offers instruction through certified USA Archery coaches with varying expertise levels, from entry-level safety instruction through Olympic-level coaching. The business hosts a 5-hour BowTech mastery course covering bow setup, maintenance, string building, and equipment optimization. The facility stocks a wide selection of archery equipment and supplies, including multiple bow brands such as Bowtech, Prime Archery, Elite, Obsession, Quest, and Bear, as well as arrows, crossbows, custom strings, and accessories.

The facility distinguishes itself through several special offerings. Birthday parties are available, including standard archery parties and "Defend the Fort," an interactive archery game similar to dodgeball using bows and arrows that accommodates groups of 4 to 14 players. The Bionic Challenge presents a competitive opportunity for archers to test their skills against nine steel targets spread across the 27-acre property, with winners added to the champion board and earning a free indoor membership.

Fort Grard is committed to community service and partners with Arrows for Heroes, an organization dedicated to improving the quality of life for disabled veterans through archery. Disabled veterans are welcome to shoot for free at the facility. The business maintains a welcoming, family-oriented atmosphere with the philosophy that visitors are treated as family members. Operating hours are Sunday 1:00 PM to 6:00 PM, closed Mondays, and Tuesday through Saturday from 11:00 AM to 6:00 PM, with extended Saturday hours beginning at 9:00 AM.
