About

Located in Ashland, Wisconsin, Chequamegon Archery Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to providing a welcoming outdoor shooting environment for archers of all skill levels. The facility features multiple practice areas designed to accommodate different archery disciplines and skill development. Shooters can access a practice range with targets set at distances from 10 to 50 yards, a 14-target field and hunter course with yardage markers spanning 20 feet to 80 yards, a 20-target 2D animal course with foam backstops and paper targets, and dedicated broadhead pits for tuning and practice with broadhead equipment. During summer months, the club operates a 3D league with 20 rotating targets that change weekly, featuring realistic animal targets. The club maintains a strong focus on community engagement and accessibility, having recently completed construction on a new accessible range and pathways to serve a broader population. Membership is affordable at twenty dollars for individuals or thirty dollars for families, and the club hosts regular events throughout the year including a summer 3D league, a fall festival with games and raffles, and various community shoots. Those who have attended their public events praise the welcoming atmosphere and knowledgeable members who take time to help beginners get started with the sport. The organization also works with local youth programs and encourages community participation through volunteer opportunities.
