About

The Conservation Club of Kenosha County operates a comprehensive archery facility in Bristol, Wisconsin, offering both indoor and outdoor shooting options to accommodate archers year-round. Located on over 50 acres of cleared and wooded land directly across Highway AH from the main clubhouse, the range provides diverse shooting experiences for archers of all skill levels.

The outdoor facility features two wooded trails equipped with 13 targets that range upwards of 60 yards, allowing archers to experience shooting in a natural forest setting. Additionally, the range maintains a dedicated practice area with targets positioned at 10, 20, 30, 40, 50, 60, 80, and 100 yards, enabling archers to practice at varying distances and improve their accuracy progressively. For indoor shooting, the clubhouse houses an indoor range extending to 30 yards, providing year-round access regardless of weather conditions. Both indoor and outdoor facilities welcome crossbow shooters alongside traditional archers.

The range operates every Sunday from 9 a.m. to 4 p.m., excluding holidays. Daily shooting fees are affordable, with membership options available. Members pay $5 for adults and shoot free as youth under 18, while non-members pay $10 ($15 starting 2026) for adults and $5 for youth under 18 beginning 2026.

Beyond general shooting opportunities, the Conservation Club offers organized competitive activities throughout the year. The program includes a spring league on the outdoor wooded trail, a fall five-spot league at the clubhouse, and a winter indoor 3D league that visitors mention as a popular offering. The club continues to develop additional league options for its community.

Safety is paramount at the facility, with experienced Range Officers overseeing all activities to ensure an enjoyable and secure experience for all visitors. The range maintains strict safety protocols and general rules to protect all archers and their equipment. Contact information for the Archery Head Range Officers is available for questions or additional information.
