Blackhawk Bowhunters

Blackhawk Bowhunters is a well-established archery club situated on a 12-acre property just south of Verona, offering both indoor and outdoor shooting facilities. The outdoor range features multiple practice areas including field tip targets spanning 10 to 100 yards, broadhead ranges from 20 to 40 yards, and numerous NFAA compressed bale targets extending to 80+ meters and beyond. The facility also maintains seasonal 3D targets and elevated shooting platforms for varied practice experiences. The indoor range accommodates 16 target lanes and offers five-spot targets, animal targets, and adjustable bale stands to help archers refine their skills at close range.

The club maintains a full-service clubhouse with an air-conditioned interior, a bar serving refreshments, and a welcoming atmosphere decorated with archery memorabilia. Members have 24/7 access to the facility (except during scheduled closures for events and maintenance), while public hours vary seasonally, running from evening weekday sessions to weekend daytime slots depending on the month.

Blackhawk Bowhunters welcomes archers of all skill levels and fosters a community-oriented environment. Visitors note the exceptionally friendly membership base and the willingness of experienced shooters to help newcomers develop their abilities. The club organizes multiple tournaments throughout the year, including its signature annual Blackhawk Open event.
