About

This established archery club has been serving the Chugiak area since 1989, operating an outdoor archery range located within Loretta French Park, a municipality of Anchorage facility. The organization focuses on education, community, and respect for bowhunting, offering comprehensive educational programs through workshops, seminars, and certification courses in a safe and supportive environment. The club hosts monthly 3D shoots on the third Sunday from October through May, welcoming both members and the general public to participate. Members gain access to the archery fields, competitive events, educational offerings, and a community of fellow archery enthusiasts. Those interested in joining can choose from individual annual memberships starting at $30, family memberships at $35, or lifetime options available as well. Monthly shoots cost members $21 to participate, with non-members paying $26, while youth rates are significantly reduced at $6. The outdoor range features both a target loop and pillow targets, though the target loop closes on the third Saturday of each month for course setup. The club emphasizes ethical hunting practices, proper shot placement, and conservation efforts alongside skill development in archery.
