About

Located in Los Angeles at Cheviot Hills Park, the Easton-Rancho Park Archery Range is a comprehensive outdoor facility that opened in 2017 with support from the Easton Foundation. The range features four distinct shooting distances—10 meters, 18 meters, 30 meters, and 50 meters—allowing archers of various skill levels and disciplines to practice. The facility operates from 8 a.m. to 10 p.m. daily for those with their own equipment, making it accessible to committed archers throughout the week.

The range offers free introductory classes on Saturdays at 11 a.m. and on the second Sunday of each month at 1:30 p.m., with classes capped at 18 people to ensure individual attention. The minimum age for these beginner classes is 8 years old. All instruction is provided by USA Archery Certified Coaches who have completed background checks and SafeSport training, with specializations ranging from general archery and Olympic archery to barebow and JOAD (Junior Olympic Archery Development) programs. Those who complete the introductory class can shoot for free twice during supervised open shooting sessions using club equipment, with modest rental fees applying thereafter. Club equipment remains free for members during supervised open shooting on weekends.

The nonprofit organization operates on a membership model, with options ranging from $30 for seniors to $1,000 for lifetime membership, though membership is not required to use the range. The facility also hosts regular tournaments throughout the year, including events like the Winter Warmup, Spring Fling, and Summer 720, welcoming both competitive and recreational archers to the Los Angeles archery community.
