About

The Fort Collins Archery Association operates a public outdoor archery range located on the Interstate 25 frontage road east of Fort Collins. Built and maintained by the association on land owned by the City of Fort Collins Parks and Recreation Department, the facility is open to the public during safe shooting light hours from morning through evening. The range features forty-one targets available for practice shooting. Twenty-two targets are positioned at unmarked distances along a walk-around trail and feature faces of various game animals, while fifteen standard practice targets are set at measured distances ranging from 10 to 100 yards. Four additional targets are arranged on a FITA range at 30, 50, 70, and 90 meters. A separate broadhead pit with a sand backstop accommodates shooting with broadheads and blunts, which are not permitted on the standard practice targets. Blunts and broadheads cannot be used at the practice targets. The facility includes restroom facilities and a covered picnic shelter. The range prohibits crossbow use entirely. The association maintains the range in cooperation with the city and offers various organized events throughout the year, including 3D target shoots, fun shoots, and Wednesday 3D night leagues during the warmer months. The FCAA supports youth archery programs by providing volunteers and equipment for instruction.
