About

Situated in a picturesque 30-acre forested setting about 12 miles west of Sedalia, Columbine Bowmen Archery Range offers outdoor shooting opportunities for archers of all skill levels. Established in 1960 by a nonprofit organization, the facility features two trail courses with 14 targets each set across varying terrain at distances ranging from 10 to 80 yards, alongside a central practice range on level ground with targets positioned at 5-yard intervals from 10 to 80 yards. The range remains open daily from sunrise to sunset with convenient walk-in access through a pedestrian gate. A daily shooting fee of five dollars provides public access, though members and children eleven years old and younger enjoy free admission. Membership options are available on a prorated basis, with family memberships starting at one hundred dollars annually during May. Visitors consistently praise the peaceful, well-maintained setting and the quality of the course, with many noting the beautiful natural environment and the convenient location for those in the Denver area. The facility enforces comprehensive safety rules and maintains strict standards to preserve the forest ecology, creating a family-friendly atmosphere that has served the archery community for over six decades.
