About

Algonquin Archers is New England's premier archery club, situated on 25 wooded acres in Woodbury, Connecticut, and has been serving the archery community since 1957. The facility offers comprehensive ranges including a 10-lane indoor range at 20 yards, outdoor practice ranges extending from 10 to 60 yards, a broadhead practice butt, a long-range practice butt out to 90 meters, a full 14-station field course, and a 30-station 3D course with elevated platforms that simulate shooting from a tree stand. The club operates as a private membership facility with full access to all property amenities for members, who are also permitted to bring guests on a limited basis.

Algonquin Archers sponsors a USA Archery Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) program for young archers aged 8 to 20, with equipment provided free of charge during regularly scheduled classes. All coaches and instructors are USA Archery Certified at Level 2 and above, with current SafeSport training and background screening. The club also offers private individual and group lessons for members, prospective members, and their guests. As a chartered member of both the IBO and NFAA, Algonquin Archers supports a diverse range of archers from competitive shooters and bowhunters to traditional enthusiasts. Visitors note the top-notch facilities, amazing staff, excellent organization, and the variety of courses available, with many mentioning the welcoming community and engaging programs for all skill levels.
