Shawnee Mission Park Archery Range

Located within the expansive Shawnee Mission Park in Lenexa, Kansas, this archery range offers a static outdoor facility with six shooting lanes. The range accommodates various skill levels with target distances ranging from 20 yards in two lanes, then progressing in 10-yard increments up to 60 yards. The facility uses Block Range 48 target butts, which feature high-contrast design and are constructed from compressed friction foam for reliable arrow stopping. Archers need to bring their own targets and target pins, as the butts come blank. A JCPRD archery permit is required for anyone 13 years of age and older, while children under 12 may shoot when accompanied by an adult with a valid permit. Broadhead points and crossbows are not permitted at the range. The archery facility is situated within one of Kansas's most visited parks, which spans 1,655 acres and offers numerous other recreational amenities including hiking trails, a lake, disc golf courses, and mountain biking trails, making it an ideal destination for archers looking to combine their sport with a full outdoor experience.
