Archery For A Cause operates a mission-driven facility in Fryeburg, Maine, combining recreational archery with community outreach. The range features a 90-yard static target course suitable for both beginners and experienced shooters, alongside a 45-target 3D course spread across scenic Maine woodland terrain. The 3D course presents life-sized animal targets including grizzly bears, elk, mule deer, mountain goats, wild boar, coyotes, turkeys, and bobcats, with shots ranging from 20 to 100 yards and realistic hunting scenarios featuring uphill, downhill, and angled positions.
Membership provides unlimited access to both courses, with summer rates starting at $150 for individuals and $75 per person for spouse or family add-ons. Non-members can visit for $25 per day, while guests accompanying members shoot for $15 per round. The facility uses a golf-style tee-time reservation system to ensure safe spacing between groups. An indoor simulator is currently in development to extend year-round shooting opportunities during Maine's colder months.
Beyond recreational shooting, the organization funds free archery education programs for youth and underserved populations, provides equipment for those unable to afford gear, and operates accessibility initiatives specifically designed for veterans and individuals with physical disabilities. Members enjoy the knowledge that their fees directly support these community programs. An upcoming digital platform will allow members to book tee times online, pay fees, and complete legal waivers electronically.
