About

Anne Arundel Archers is a non-profit archery club located in Gambrills, Maryland, on 53 acres of county land nestled between Route 3 South and the Little Patuxent River. Operating for over 40 years, the range is open year-round from sunrise to sunset and offers a forested setting with plenty of natural surroundings. The facility features five public practice lanes with target distances ranging from 11 feet to 80 yards that are open to the public at no cost, as well as a 28-target outdoor NFAA regulation competition range reserved for members and tournaments. The club maintains a clubhouse and restroom facilities that operate during the warmer months of spring, summer, and fall.

Anne Arundel Archers welcomes archers of all skill levels and disciplines, including field, hunter, and 3-D archery. The club hosts beginner-friendly classes through the Anne Arundel County Department of Recreation and Parks each spring and autumn, with sessions available for ages 8 and up that cover equipment, fundamentals, proper form, and safety. Visitors should note that while the range does not provide equipment for personal use, the county classes do include all necessary gear. The club emphasizes a strong family atmosphere and sportsmanship, with club meetings held monthly and regular tournaments throughout the year. Pets are welcome on the property as long as they remain leashed, and visitors are encouraged to bring bug spray, sunscreen, closed-toed shoes, and water for their visit.
