About

Dowagiac Conservation Club operates an all-Rinehart 30-target 3-D archery course set in a wooded landscape that welcomes both traditional and compound archers. The course winds through natural terrain and features diverse shooting opportunities, including elevated platforms, uphill shots, tight brush gaps, and even a unique floating target on a raft in the club's pond. Shooting distances range from 8 yards on the flying carp shot to 65 yards on the buffalo target, providing skill-building opportunities for archers of all levels. The club hosts Sunday morning shoots throughout the year and an annual Traditional Bow Shoot Weekend, allowing archers to practice, compete, and connect with fellow shooters. The facility continuously upgrades and enhances the course each year to keep the experience fresh and engaging. Club membership is required to use the archery range, with the facility open Monday through Sunday from 9 a.m. to sunset. Established in 1947, Dowagiac Conservation Club is a nonprofit organization dedicated to promoting outdoor sports and conservation, and it maintains over 80 acres of wooded land along with various other shooting ranges and amenities. Visitors praise the facility for its excellent condition and beautiful natural surroundings, noting that the club maintains a clean, well-kept environment throughout its grounds.
