About

Capital Area Sportsmen's League in Lansing provides comprehensive archery facilities for shooters of all skill levels. The organization operates both indoor and outdoor archery ranges, with outdoor options including practice targets set at distances from 10 to 50 yards, a field and hunter course, and a seasonal 30-target 3-D course that is established in spring and dismantled by mid-September. The indoor archery facility is available exclusively to members who obtain a key to the building, granting them 24-hour, seven-day-a-week access year-round.

The facility actively supports competitive archery through seasonal leagues open to the public during fall and winter months, as well as through participation in the Saginaw Valley Archery Association. Beyond league play, the organization hosts youth programs including the Michigan Youth Hunters Education Challenge, which features 3-D archery as one of its competitive shooting events. This makes Capital Area Sportsmen's League a hub for developing young hunters' outdoor skills and safety awareness.

Founded in 1935 and renamed to reflect its location near Michigan's capital in 1985, the organization has remained committed to promoting shooting sports and conservation. Membership provides access to the archery ranges along with additional facilities for pistol, rifle, and shotgun sports. Those interested in joining or learning more about participation opportunities can contact the league at (517) 627-6982.
