About

Rapids Archery Club in Andover, Minnesota maintains one of the largest indoor archery ranges along with multiple outdoor ranges, offering year-round shooting opportunities for archers of all skill levels. The facility has been actively promoting the sport of archery since 1957 and positions itself as a family-oriented club where members of all ages can participate together.

The indoor range features 24 shooting stations, all set at 20 yards, and is fully equipped with bow racks, tables and chairs, a meeting room, restrooms, vending machines, and a kitchen where food can be purchased during club-sponsored events. The facility is handicap accessible. The outdoor ranges include a practice range with 22 targets spanning 10 to 80 yards with several doubled stations at popular distances, three separate field loops offering 14 to 28 targets each at varying difficulty levels, and a dedicated broadhead and crossbow range with five targets and elevated platforms. All ranges provide marked distances and bow racks at each shooting station.

The club offers introductory archery classes for anyone ages eight and up with no experience necessary, and all equipment is provided or members may bring their own. The Rapids Archery JOAD Club serves youth ages 7 to 20, providing instruction in the USA Archery National Training System to help develop fundamental skills and advanced techniques. The club also hosts numerous leagues throughout the year, including winter indoor leagues, summer and fall bowhunter leagues, and traditional leagues, along with seasonal 3D shoots and competitive events.

Membership provides free access to all ranges and leagues, while non-members may use the ranges for a $5 fee. The club requires all members to volunteer hours toward maintaining the facility's infrastructure.
