Obissquasoit Bowmen

Obissquasoit Bowmen is a private nonprofit archery club situated on 53 acres of wooded land in Alloway, New Jersey. Founded in 1951 and incorporated in 1954, the club operates three 14-target outdoor ranges along with a 10 to 60 yard practice and sight-in range featuring a covered shooting area. The indoor facilities include a clubhouse with a 12-lane, 20-yard indoor range equipped with Morrell target butts, as well as a kitchen and restrooms.

Membership is required for regular facility access, with two membership options available: Associate Members can use the facilities year-round without required work hours, while Senior Members gain voting privileges and full facility use in exchange for 12 hours of annual club work. The club welcomes visitors during designated open club nights held every Tuesday and monthly open club Sundays, as well as during special events and tournaments. Members may bring guests for a nominal fee, and all guests and visitors must complete a liability waiver before using the facility.

Obissquasoit Bowmen hosts numerous competitions and events throughout the year, including IBO World Qualifiers, 3D shoots, and sanctioned state championships. The club emphasizes education and training through personal instruction and written materials, promoting sportsmanship and archery safety. As a 501(c)(4) nonprofit, the organization operates with a dedicated leadership focused on maintaining its grounds and fostering an inclusive archery community for archers of all skill levels and equipment preferences.
