About

New Castle Hundred Archers is a well-established Delaware facility founded in 1953, situated on 13 acres of land in Newark. The club features an 18-lane indoor shooting range with targets up to 30 yards, which operates as the largest indoor archery range in Delaware and surrounding areas. The outdoor practice range accommodates targets extending to 80 yards and includes a covered shooting pavilion for year-round training. The facility also offers a 28-target field course through wooded grounds with marked yardage targets ranging from 10 to 80 yards, along with three elevated tree stands designed for bowhunter practice.

The club welcomes both members and non-members for instruction. Public drop-in lessons are available Saturdays from 10:30 AM to noon and Wednesday evenings from 6:30 PM to 8:00 PM for ages eight and up. Private instruction is also available from US Archery certified instructors and coaches. All equipment is provided for public classes and lessons, or attendees may bring their own. The facility operates through a membership model offering 365-day, 24-hour access for members, though visitors say the knowledgeable staff provides a welcoming experience. The club hosts the Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) program for competitive youth archers and offers an Achieve Archery program for recreational archers seeking deeper instruction. A clubhouse with kitchen and restroom facilities accommodates groups for events, including corporate team-building experiences. Those who've attended note the instructors are kind and knowledgeable, and families mention having positive experiences with private lessons.
