About

Located at 1715 Louis Street in Bryan, the Brazos County Archery Club operates as the oldest three-dimensional archery facility of its kind in Texas. The club promotes all forms of archery and hosts monthly competitive shoots throughout the year, typically held on the second Sunday of each month from December through September. The facility features a 30-target course and maintains both a dedicated practice range and competitive shooting areas, with separate start times accommodating different archer preferences—traditional shooters begin at 8:30 AM while compound shooters start at 10 AM.

Membership is available in several categories including individual, family, student, military, and youth options through JOAD programs, with dues that remain modest according to visitors. Members receive 24-hour access to the practice range and enjoy discounted shoot fees. Non-members can participate for a slightly higher per-shoot fee, with special pricing for veterans, military personnel, and youth. The club is affiliated with the ASA archery organization and follows their rules and standards.

Beyond shooting competitions, the facility serves the broader archery community by offering opportunities to work with boy scouts, girl scouts, and 4H groups. The club also maintains the Emma Hojnacki Scholarship, a competitive educational award open to any student pursuing post-secondary education. Guests describe the facility as exceptionally well-maintained with quality targets, noting the clean grounds and friendly atmosphere. Those who visit appreciate the variety of shooting experiences available and the welcoming nature of the club's membership and leadership.
