Located in Manchaca just minutes from Austin's city limits, this training facility serves recurve archers of all skill levels, from complete beginners to competitive athletes. The center operates both indoor and outdoor ranges designed to accommodate archers as they progress through increasingly challenging distances and techniques. The indoor facility holds up to 16 archers and features shooting at nine meters, along with a dedicated form rectification center equipped with monitors and cameras. The outdoor ranges span two locations and support distances ranging from 13.5 meters up to 70 meters, with one field hosting up to 40 archers.
Group instruction forms the foundation of programming here, with classes organized by skill level for adults, juniors, and parents. All group sessions are capped at eight archers to ensure personalized attention. The facility provides equipment for introductory classes, allowing newcomers to try the sport before making their own investment. As archers advance, they progress through successively more challenging levels, working with coaches trained in the National Training System, a biomechanically efficient method developed by the U.S. National Head Coach.
The training center has been operating since 1995 under the direction of a USA Archery Level 4 coach who has trained over 10,000 archers, including state champions, national competitors, and a Paralympic medalist. The coaching staff consists of multiple USA Archery certified instructors at varying levels.
