Outdoor Archery Range

Fort Belvoir's Outdoor Recreation archery center provides a comprehensive facility for archers of all skill levels. The center maintains multiple ranges designed for different shooting styles and distances, including an 18-point indoor range at 20 yards, a 10-point indoor range covering 10 to 30 yards, a 14-point outdoor field archery course following NFAA standards, an eight-point outdoor lighted practice range with targets positioned at 10, 15, 20, 30, 40, 50, and 60 yards, and a four-point outdoor broadhead practice range with 20 and 30-yard shooting lines. The facility welcomes both youth and adults with affordable daily passes and annual membership options. Those looking to get started can take advantage of introductory archery classes held on the first and third Monday of each month, where experienced volunteer instructors teach safety fundamentals and basic shooting principles to participants ages six and older. Both compound and recurve bow rentals are available for those without their own equipment, and participants may also bring their own bows to use at the range. The center operates with flexible hours throughout the week and is located on Johnston Road within Fort Belvoir.
