Wapiti Bowmen

Wapiti Bowmen operates as a long-established archery club nestled in the foothills of the Olympic National Forest near Port Angeles, Washington. The facility spans twenty wooded acres and features a unique blend of indoor and outdoor shooting opportunities designed to serve archers of varying skill levels and styles. The outdoor course includes twenty-eight terrain-integrated field targets positioned at distances ranging from ten to eighty yards, taking advantage of the natural elevation changes and forest setting to create authentic hunting practice scenarios. Complementing the outdoor range, the club maintains a heated twenty-yard indoor facility and clubhouse for year-round shooting. Additional amenities include dedicated outdoor practice areas and a specialized broadhead tuning pit for bowhunters preparing their equipment.

Founded in 1964, Wapiti Bowmen welcomes both compound and traditional archers (recurve and longbow), though crossbows and firearms are not permitted. The club operates on a membership basis, with annual rates starting at thirty dollars for juniors under eighteen and sixty dollars for single adults, with reduced rates available for seniors and families. Access codes are provided to members, and guests may participate when accompanied by a current member. Interested shooters can join through local retailers including E-Z Pawn East or Swains General Store, both of which also serve as points of contact for additional information about archery supplies and club membership applications. The club is staffed entirely by dedicated volunteers and holds monthly business meetings open to members who wish to participate in club decisions and governance.
