About

Located south of the historic Victorian seaport town of Port Townsend, the Jefferson County Sportsmen's Association operates a 43-acre outdoor shooting sports facility that has served the community since 1962. The archery range sits within a wooded setting and offers a wilderness trail experience for archers, available daily from 10 a.m. until sunset. Public access to the archery facilities is available on Sundays from 10 a.m. to 4 p.m., with the range closed on the last Sunday of each month for maintenance.

This member-supported club welcomes both the general public and dedicated members to participate in its archery program. Visitors report exceptionally friendly and welcoming experiences, with members and instructors offering helpful guidance and tips to those practicing on the range. The facility is well-maintained and clean, with target stands and backer boards provided by the association, though shooters are expected to bring their own paper targets.

The club operates as a 501(c)(7) nonprofit organization affiliated with major shooting sports associations, including the National Rifle Association and the Civilian Marksmanship Program. While membership is required for most range access, those interested in trying the facility can purchase a day pass for $15, and public participation in sanctioned competitions requires only the match fee. Those seeking regular access can join as individual or family members at reasonable rates.
