About

West Allis Bowmen, now known as WAB Archers, is a family-oriented archery club celebrating 75 years of service to the archery community. Located on 60 acres of wooded land in Racine County near Franksville, the facility combines indoor and outdoor shooting options to accommodate archers of all skill levels. The clubhouse features a 14-position indoor range at 20 yards along with a main room with a fireplace, full kitchen, and meeting space. Outdoors, members and visitors can access six ranges including a practice range with targets from 10 to 80 yards, an NFAA-certified range, and a 28-station 3-D burlap hunter course set among beautiful wooded trails.

The club is home to over 100 active archers and has produced numerous state and national championship title holders. WAB Archers hosts a variety of leagues throughout the year open to both members and non-members, including paper animal leagues, cricket leagues, target leagues, and 3-D competitions. The club is deeply committed to youth development, offering Junior Olympic Archery Development (JOAD) leagues twice yearly and supporting 4-H archery programs. Those who have visited note the welcoming community, well-maintained facilities, and the members' generosity in helping beginners learn the sport. The club is volunteer-run, and guests mention that the 3-D course provides realistic, challenging shooting experiences while the overall atmosphere combines competitive opportunities with recreational enjoyment for all ages.
