About

Racine Instinctive Bowmen operates as a nonprofit archery club established in 1952, serving approximately 125 family and individual memberships. The facility spans 200 acres of mixed wooded and open terrain near Sturtevant, Wisconsin, offering multiple shooting environments for both competitive and recreational archery. Members and visiting archers have access to an indoor range housed within the clubhouse, four outdoor wooded shooting ranges, a 12-foot elevated shooting deck, a screened pavilion, and supporting structures including two large pole barns. The club specializes in instinctive bowhunting and competitive archery, welcoming both traditional shooters and those using modern sights and releases as full-time members.

Throughout the year, Racine Instinctive Bowmen hosts numerous open shoots—including 3D competitions, indoor and outdoor events, and specialty shoots—that are open to the public. The facility also supports youth development through kids' leagues and clinics, with a winter indoor kids' league typically held during the early months. An industrial league operates during warmer months, featuring 12 weeks of outdoor competition across multiple ranges with options for 3D targets and paper targets.

Membership provides 24/7 facility access, participation rights in year-round events, and hunting privileges on club grounds. The club has established itself as a significant part of Wisconsin's archery heritage, maintaining ties to local bowhunting history and housing the organization in a space that accommodates both shooting activities and social gatherings.
