About

Indianhead Rifle & Pistol Club operates two distinct archery facilities situated on an 80-acre property near Spooner, Wisconsin. The newer walk-through 3D archery range features 15 stations with targets positioned between 10 and 60 yards, offering a hunting-simulation experience with varied terrain. The first nine targets wind through a wooded area along a marked path, designed to challenge archers of different skill levels, while the remaining stations are spread across open field with naturally maintained grounds and mowed retrieval lanes. The facility's original archery range, now called the Archery Sight-in Range, maintains meticulously groomed grass and features newly upgraded targets with rubber backings to minimize arrow loss. One target is specifically designed for crossbow shooting, and the range includes a raised platform allowing archers to practice tree stand and downhill shooting angles. The ranges have become particularly popular during the club's annual Family Days event held each August, where separate adult and children's shooting areas are set up. Access to both archery facilities requires club membership, with annual membership starting at $50 for seniors and ranging up to $600 for younger members. The facility operates seven days a week from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m., and the club also participates in archery events with local 4-H chapters.
