Archery Training Center | Indoor Range

Archery Training Center operates a comprehensive facility in Southwest Austin dedicated to Olympic-style recurve archery. The center features an indoor range at 5446 W US Highway 290 Service Road that accommodates up to 16 archers shooting at 9 meters, complete with four competitive target mats and a form rectification center equipped with monitors and cameras. Additionally, the facility maintains two outdoor ranges—one in Manchaca and another at Pioneer Farms—each capable of handling up to 40 archers with distances ranging from 13.5 to 70 meters.

The center has been operating since 1995 and is led by USA Archery Level 4 NTS Coach Racae Meyer, who has trained more than 10,000 archers over three decades. The facility offers structured programs for adults, juniors, and parents across multiple skill levels, from introductory first-time classes through advanced competitive training. Classes are kept small, with a maximum of eight archers per group, and progress through increasingly challenging levels as participants develop their skills. Basic equipment is provided for beginning classes, though participants eventually purchase their own specialized gear. The center also offers virtual coaching lessons, clinics for competitive archers, and USA Archery instructor certification courses.
