Archery Training Center operates the Outdoor Range South, a professional archery facility located in Manchaca, Texas, just two minutes from the Austin city limits. The range features private, flat, open, mowed, and fenced fields that accommodate up to 40 archers and includes 10 competitive target mats with shooting distances ranging from 13.5 meters to 70 meters. The facility is conveniently positioned opposite the Marbridge Foundation in the back right of nearby soccer fields.
The center specializes in recreational, progressive, and competitive Olympic recurve target archery for adults, juniors, and parents. Group classes are limited to a maximum of eight archers, allowing for personalized instruction. The facility offers various outdoor programs—Outdoor 3 through Outdoor 9—designed to progressively challenge archers as their skills improve. Basic equipment is provided for newcomers, though archers eventually purchase their own equipment specified by coaches based on individual goals and experience. The center is led by USA Archery Level 4 NTS Coach Racae Meyer, who has coached and trained over 10,000 archers since 1995, including numerous state and southern region champions, national champions, and Junior US Archery Team members.
Visitors praise the facility's professionalism and the expertise of its coaching staff. Those who've trained there note that the coaches demonstrate patience, dedication, and commitment to helping archers of all levels, whether pursuing archery as a hobby or with Olympic aspirations.
